You get the discount for everything - During sale periods I swear more than half my wages would go straight back into their tills
Also if your made permanent and your store exceeds profits you may get a small bonus per year - My store never made it of course but the other staff we meet at team meetings of course enjoyed spreading tales of their extra money0 -

Hi did you ever get anywhere with your job, I felt sorry that no one replied, I know someone who was in a similar position but still managed to get a job on first attempt.0 -
Well...
I had the online assessment, passed, had the store assessment, passed in Newbury, Berks, signed loads of forms, got measured for the uniform, told the start date would be 9th August and they'd have to confirm exactly which store as they're supposedly building a new one.
I went home back to London and waited- and waited. No confirmation, anything. Last week I called the store, "our totals have changed, be patient, we'll be back in touch next week" I wait...nothing!
I called HR and got told to deal with the store direct...."be patient" again...erm..it's now Friday and the job was due to start on Monday! Not to mention relocating to Berkshire, don't think it's happening somehow. V. disappointed. Expected better from M&S.0 -

Hi, I had my roleplay assessment today and passed! It was very nerve wracking tho but the 2 ladies that did it were lovely!! Basically one of them played the part of a customer who had ordered a special cake the previous week to be delivered to store today so she could collect it. The delivery turned up without the cake so I had to pacify the customer and offer solutions to her problem. Good luck in your interview and just smile a lot, be polite and make lots of eye contact.:)0 -

Hi Piglet76,
How were you able to pacify the customer or offer solutions when the item they want is not available at the moment. Thanks0
