    From their website (link above):
If we have to make any significant changes we will tell you or your Travel Agent as soon as reasonably possible. If there is time to do so before departure you can then choose to:
    • accept the changed arrangements or take the reasonable alternative holiday we offer you (if this is less expensive than your original holiday, we will refund the difference but if it is more expensive we will not ask you to pay more). If you decide not to take the alternative we specifically offer you, you may purchase any other available holiday from us at the applicable price, or
    • cancel your holiday.
If you wish to cancel your holiday or accept the reasonable alternative we offer you as a result of a significant change, you must tell us within the time mentioned when we notify you about the significant change or, if no time limit is mentioned, within 7 days of our notifying you. If you do not do so, we are entitled to assume that you wish to accept the changed arrangements.
If you choose to accept the new arrangements or purchase another holiday from us, we will, where applicable, reduce the price of your holiday by the compensation shown below. If you choose to cancel your holiday we will refund any money you have paid to us, as well as paying you compensation on the scale below (please note, we will only make one such reduction or payment per person).

Perhaps have a search around for the same holiday with better flight times at a similar price that you paid, saveapenny and sloppychops are excellent at searching for this kind of holiday.

Yes, use it to your advantage. Dont get mad (furious) get even.As Richard says, you may be able to get this holiday significantly cheaper. You can cancel this one, take your £20pp bonus and re book.
I often find, as long as you keep the head, you can often turn a minus in to a plus just by re evaluating a situation

Let us know the finer details and costs and see what we can do

I have never asked for thanks before, but it would have been nice for the OP to have come back with at least some comments to the replies.

the OP was online yesterday eve.
  • Hi

Only just got this sorted. I have to have the amended flight times - no other alternative, but I did manage to negotiate £60 compensation for the inconvenience - thanks for all the advice, I used it to negotiate £60

Similar happened to me on a holiday with Portland. Booked it with daytime flights, then the return was changed to a night time flight. Should have been collected from the hotel mid-afternoon for the flight home, but with the new flight our collection time was 2am!

We should have been kicked out the hotel room at 12 noon the previous day. I said it was unacceptable to be without a room for 14 hours, when I had a baby and a toddler with me.

After some persuasion, Portland offered compensation for the horrible flight and paid for the room to be kept on. I put the children down for a sleep early then woke them up in time for the coach arriving, and it wasn't too bad.
Here I go again on my own....
