Op - on my recommendation for the Ford over the Vauxhall I'd say the Ford drives better and probably has the best reputation for reliable motoring.
Bit of a problem.....the chances are the Focus was also built in Germany.0 -
Vxl has an awful gearbox , repairs likely0

I would, as I've always found Fords to be reliable.
Also, as they get older, parts can be bought extremely cheap from scrapyards instead of from dealers, which can save £100s.
That said, the same should be true of a Vauxhall.💙💛 💔0 -
The focus is a great all rounder and Top gear often singing its praises, they would consider the rivals as they pulled up outside the Ford dealership and whilst signing for the Focus.
Focus all day long, except i would but the Mondeo instead, more car for less money. Similar running costs.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I believe everyone has to limit their purchase after looking at their budget.
I am seeking advice on choosing b/w the cars I mentioned. I'll appreciate if you can suggest something sensible.

it seems the more you pay for a car the more you have to put up with BS.
Ferraris seems to be extremely unreliable.0 -
I would take a 2010 Ford over a 2012 Vauxhall for reliability.0

I am targetting one of the two cars to buy. Both are from 2 different franchisee dealers.- 2010 Ford Focus 1.6 (100ps) Zetec Hatchback 5d 1596cc - £6000 + 1 year warranty + 25k miles
- 2012 Vauxhall Astra 1.6i VVT 16v (115ps) Exclusiv Hatchback 5d 1598cc - £5600 + 6 months warranty + 28k miles
Which would be a better choice to buy? Thanks in advance,
You are being stiffed severely on the Focus.
Far cheaper about

Then why are you suggesting BMW or Audi?
I'd go for the Astra, it's cheaper and newer, and they are pretty much the same (though I'd probably look at an Insignia too, for I like big boots and I cannot lie).0
