Quite probably not as the flight cancellation was the day before departure; although gov.uk doesn't specify any rules for cancelling holiday it could well be that the same notice period applies i.e. twice as long as the period of leave.0 -

@unforseen - check again on the link you posted. Sort by arrival airport and you will find several cancelled flights from the UK to BCN.0 -

Utter nonsense the vast majority of flights, if not all, from mainland spain to mainland britain fly across french airspace, go and check any flight tracker to highlight this.Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -
Also, for example, we had an outbound AMS flight cancelled, and this doesnt go across french air space obviously but because of the way it had been sectored and the knock on effect of delays on other sectors it had flown the crew had run out of hoursLive each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0
