They're pretty much all the same, only the available attachments differ.

We've got a Morphy Richards. It keeps the dust off a bit of floor in the cupboard under the stairs, it doesn't do much else.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

LOL. I have one of the original H2 steamers that does exactly the same for most of the time. It gets used maybe 5 or 6 times a year!

Used ours for the first time after two years last week, worked ok but I prefer a mop and bucket as it seems to clean in between the floor tiles better.

We have a tiny kitchen and tiny bathroom, so I find our steam mop much easier to use than getting out a mop and bucket. It's from Staples but I can't remember the brand name. It has oodles of attachments.

They seem very unreliable in my experience, we have sent several back under waranty.
However still find it a useful item.

I'd get a simple steam mop and a cheap hand held unit, for me the handheld get used more in the garage than it does in the house.

PS, we had most trouble with VAX units

We have a basic vax steam mop that we use around twice a week, we've had it around two years and it has always worked well.
