Good Afternoon

I've signed up as i've seen previous people have had problems with this car park but their posts are pretty dated. I've recently had a letter through from 'Parking Eye' for a Parking Charge Notice for the amount of £100.00 (£60 payable within 14 days).

I was actually a user of the casino at the time but didn't enter my registration in the computer at reception (a silly error of course). I was in a poker competition at the time. I've appealed via the Parking Eye website and hoping it will be accepted but what should I do if it is not?

Many Thanks

and have you contacted the casino and stated your displease , as a (paying) customer to receive this charge

was this because you were not informed or did not see signs telling you to enter your VRN at a keypad?

I've not contacted the casino regarding the charge.

To be fair, I am a regular user of the casino but on a Saturday evening at 6.00pm I didn't think I would need to enter my registration. The car park was half empty and it didn't cross my mind. Again, this is totally my error but I feel the ticket isn't fair at all.

Highly unlikely that your appeal will be accepted by Parking Eye, they are only interested in swelling their coffers.
The state of the car park or how busy it was is of no importance to their little game at all!

Your best bet now is to get the casino to get the charge cancelled if it's their car park and they engaged the services of these worthless scammers.

contact the casino , actually you and 20 of your mates grab the MANAGER , not the bell boy , TELL him as a customer you expect to get it sorted NOW!

if he refuses , you and your party walk out and play elsewhere , the managers actions will show how the company value your custom!

I take it the Casino will have the sway with the parking company to get it cancelled providing that I approach it in the right way?

I was playing in a competition and in their premises so surely they should back me with this?

@pappa golf. From your experience, would you expect them to contact Parking Eye and get this resolved?

No guarentee at all, Asda for example try to get away with all sorts of lies to stay out of these things by stating it's a council car park for example.

If it's the Casino's car park of course they can get it cancelled the PPC work for them, but you may have to be firm and take no bull from them, and speak to the manager not the receptionist.

most companies that hire the scammers have access to the scammers website to revoke tickets , the casino HIRE the company , just like their bar staff , and as such can TELL them what to do ,

if your boss tells you to do something and you don,t , what happens?

in your situation , I suggest getting friends etc to assist you , a walkout and returning membership cards will hurt them a lot

PE will have affected their business turnover ,

I think , the previous case on this forum ended badly , as the casino said they could not do anything once court action had started

    do it NOW

PE would struggle with this in court, no loss, not a GPEOL, differs from Beavis in many ways, read PE V Heggie
