Hi all, can anyone advise us on (used) 7 seaters that have both sliding side doors and back seats that fold down completely flat ie to use as a bed. Wanting to use an MPV as a main family car but easily convert it to a camper. Have a gazebo to put on the side which is why we're wanting the sliding side doors.

We had a Mazda 5 - sliding doors and the seats go flat (ish). Decent car, sold it recently as we didn't need anything so big any more. Not sure I'd want to sleep in though, insulation a bit lacking!0

What's the budget? Might be worth looking at Jap import, the seats wont fold into the floor but many have seats that fold to make a double bed. Try Mazda Bongo or Toyota Estima to start with.0

Seat Alhambra. Sliding doors and the seats go flat. Not quite room for a double though.0

Grand Voyager has seats that fold into the floor and leave an 8x4 space that would accomodate an inflatable airbed.0

Citroen c8 - seats don't fold flat as such but are quite easy to remove. I use mine to stealth camp in London, not wide enough for a double mattress but much bigger than a standard single.Originally Posted by shortcrust
