Just popping on to give condolences to judi, I hope all goes smoothly with the funeral.

Candlelight, what a worry for you, I hope they get medication sorted for him very soon. If it's any consolation my mother lived for many years with heart failure and it didn't restrict her life too much.

It's our last day in Yorkshire, we need to clean the downstairs and our bathroom, I did all the bedrooms and DH did the main bathroom yesterday. It took some convincing him that the place needed more than our usual clean - he seems to think that the skirting boards etc stay magically dust free.

We had a fantastic meal last night at the Northcote (michelin starred),courtesy of DD and her DH as a thank you for the help with their wedding. It was a 7 course tasting menu and when we arrived we found that DD had rung from the Galapagos to arrange a glass of champagne for DH, a non-alcoholic cocktail for me and an extra cheeseboard, we were stuffed at the end but ate every bit it was so delicious.

They are having a great time, she rang last night and said Ecuador is lovely and has been diving with sea lions playing around them.

    Have a good day.

Hello, just a quick check in, have been up since 4.30 but busy doing nothing of any consequence.
Have a bit of work to do, then some ironing of my work clothes and then dinner to do this evening. Roast pork, must make some stuffing.
Thinking of Gers, judi and candlelight xxx
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

    Morning all,

Nice bright day here got a towel load in the wm and have stripped the bed and will get both on the line today.

Little Evie had a good walk yesterday she loves the woods and ran for miles, will do the same again, she is very mush like little dog and needs wearing out, she will go for miles and then come home and sleep the afternoon away !

My sis and Bil came round last night and we ended up getting an Indian, very nice it was too, they bought there older dog with them who is not very well atm, and Evie seemed to understand that he needed space and mostly left him alone.

Today we will have a quick clean through and get the bear out for her walk, dinner will be a chorizo and potato bake thing with some crusty bread.

Need to re make the bed and hoover through.

Hugs to Gers hope it goes as well as it can.

Judi I too wish your DH was more supportive of you xx

Candlelight sending love to you and your DH xx

    Have good days all xx

Welcome to Helebore . I just spotted your post on the singles thread and was going to reply later . Just doing my daily post and then sorting out the garage . Everyone here is lovely so it's a nice place to start posting .
Thanks Dumpling for starting us off . I think a lot of us suspect we are falling to bits !
Love to Gers . We will be with you in spirit tomorrow x
Judi I hope you are ok . A good think once you get some personal space afterwards is a good plan . You can't change the past love but you can sort how you want the future . x
Candlelight I hope you manage some rest today - nanna nap ?
Does your husband have a v shape pillow ? I use one for reading in bed . I used to buy the quilted JL ones which are brilliant but too big to risk wrecking the washing machine . I have just bought one from argos which is not bad at all and the cheapest they sell -much cheaper than jl .Take good care of youself x
LW I hope you had a good theatre trip last night . You both sound so elegant .
Hugs to all who want , have a good day '
Off to sort food far later and then into the dreaded garage .
    Big hug for Hester .

Nigel's hot pot is fabulous and really easy! Northcote isn't too far from us, it's a lovely place.

Have listened to the Archers, been to the supermarket and had leftover orzo salad & prawns for lunch, just letting it settle before going down to the allotment, then back home to bake some treats for the office.

  • Afternoon all. The weather here proved to be much better than the forecast so I got loads of washing pegged out. It was so warm in the sunshine it prompted me to have a bit of a tidy up and guess what?!!! Those of you with good memories might remember my wedding ring disappearing from my finger last November and causing me much sadness. I searched high and low, inside and out, to no avail, but what did I spot lying on the slate chippings this morning? My wedding ring!! I couldn't believe it, after all this time! Now safely back on my finger but it is a little loose so must keep a careful watch on it!

Welcome to HELEBORE. You couldn't have joined a friendlier forum.

Sorry to read your DH isn't being supportive JUDI. And CANDLELIGHT I really feel for you. Such a worrying time for you. Hope all goes as well as it can tomorrow GERS xx

What a magic find TA . I am so happy for you I remember how upsetting the loss was and the fruitless searches . Just shows hard work does bring it's own reward :D
Tea and biccies demolished , back to the garage of doom picturing a smile on your face and I imagine Mr TA . Motivated by the fact I may unearth treasure !
