Considering purchasing a 4k t.v.

1 option maybe to apply for a Luma purchase card. 0% 3mths.

Are all new Luma card limits at the 200 limit?

Not all but the majority from messages here seem to be, I only got £200 a year ago and it's never moved but to be fair I dobtbusevit as I have mainstream cards now with higher limits. Max they start is 1500

It's provided by capital one......I was given the full £1500 when I opened the account.

My capital 1 card went from200-450 early this years,I only owe 99 which will be paid in a few weeks.

I understand Cap 1 won't consider limit increase for 8 mths from previous increase.

As i'm on dmp for another 3 yrs,prob best to at least try Cap 1 increase next month.

Though I was considering amazon via Hitachi credit though don't want to pay +700 for a 599t.v. 24mths 16.9 apr. -don't think I'll get the credit via Hitachi anyway.

What about barclaycard initial I had 3m interest free when I opened that. I still paid in full tho!

If you're on a DMP your credit reports are likely to be full of late payment and arrangement to pay markers, which are red flags to lenders.

had bc initial yrs ago, then offered 0% 18 mths bc at lower rate.

Unfortunately bc are part of dmp since 2012.

Yeah my credit file is full,with defaults.

Barclaycard was full of AP markers until a few months ago -my dmp payment to Barclaycard was meeting the minimum payments though 0 limit was 3k.

99% of my credit cards were in my credit limit -only just though after being made unemployed 2011.

I've got a slightly mad idea to start improving my credit report so that I'll have clean credit accounts for when my dmp ends late 2019.

Why not try the Luma card it can't do any harm?

Failing that you could try a catalog to help build credit. JD williams seem to be very easy to get. The stuff is overpriced but you can find 30% off codes online easily so the stuff isn't to bad then.

I had the Luma application filled in online a few hrs earlier.

I want to avoid another 200 initial limit card.

If I remember correctly, these online type applications send the card on acceptence or at least that's what Cap 1 did.

I don't want to have to cancel and return a new card if it's the 200 limit.

Not sure if this helps but I have 2 cards issued by capital one both came with the same limits 2x£1500 applied 3months apart. So I guess if they gave you £200 it's likely the second would be £200. I'm not sure if AQUA have any 0% deals?
