I don't understand how anyone finds NW site difficult! I don't think I'm amazingly bright etc. but it was a very straightforward process opening my Flexdirect acc. then later a Flexclusive RS when it became available. I've only been on the multi account bandwagon since last August so it's not like I have much experience. I do realise current accounts are better than isa's for me though.

Yeah, I looked at that, bit of a pain when I have been with them for 20+ years.

I always assumed I already was an account holder.
You are an account holder. Just not an applicable account. It does beg the question why you don't have the 5% current account though as it beats all savings accounts.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

The structure and also flex this one flex that one, flex it direct or flex this account... They are all accounts so why is one called Flexaccount, others Flexbasic, Flexone, FlexDirect.

Simplicity even in name like other banks - Nationwide Flex, Nationwide One, Nationwide Basic, Nationwide Direct.

It's very simple, "Flex" is Nationwide's current account brand name, which is why the names of all their current accounts start with that word. If they used the names you've suggested, they could be confused with savings accounts. When you hear Flex, you know it's a current account.

The layout and navigation is as poor.

Imagine having low intelligence or learning difficulties, dyslexia, dementia, cognitive functions of any kind and navigating that site and its products - it is overwhelming. It is not easy, I have had to assist others. I stopped recommending NW solo it on its failed sales based multiple accounts multiple options website.

Are you on about the website or Nationwide's online banking? Their website is no more confusing than that of any of the major banks and their online banking is simple, very clear and extremely easy to navigate. I have accounts with several banks and I prefer Nationwide's online banking to any of the others.

the Regular Saver is funded from a current account with them, as per TSB or HSBC equivalents.
Nationwide have many faults, and i find their service to be poor, but we can't really knock them for restricting payments into their RS to being from one of their current accounts.
i have a FlexAccount, Flexclusive Regular Saver, the Loyalty savings account which is mentioned above, and the Select Creditcard.. all because the terms are right.
i wouldn't use them as my main 'bank' though.

oh:o.. is that definitely the case with the Flexclusive Regular Saver?
i was certainly told that it did, and thought i was doing well to close my FlexDirect accounts and have the SO paid from my FlexAccount:think:

I can only give you experience of others with medical cognitive issues I have had to help, they navigated Halifax, RBS and the likes no problem but Nationwide seemed to be a sensory overload for the majority?

We may manage to navigate and understand, but given care in the community and people living independently trying to do things for themselves a website layout like Nationwide is a barrier for the less fortunate.

On my first website visit to help a confused NW to be customer I could see it was a mess for them and not just their inability to process things that can be a issue at times.

It is a great choice of product offering, it is presented on the website in a manner on the other end of that spectrum, poorly executed.

Of course we can debate this till the end of time, for those who fail to understand such will walk away or choose a wrong option because they could not clearly see the best option.

I have found Halifax to be the best website and online banking from others use on simplicity for those less fortunate than us mentally & given the £5 reward too I opened one :)
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Yes definitely, Flexclusive can be funded from an external account,
though you need a qualifying current account to hold it

And if you have a donor account with two direct debits e.g. Tesco savers - get a friend with an NW account to refer you and apply via top cashback and you could get £135 and they get £100.

That's more than one year's interest if you invest the full £500 a month into the regular saver.

oh, now i see, so you Do have to retain a Nationwide current account, but it doesn't have to be used to fund the Flexclusive RS.
FlexAccount is alright, in that i like being able to deposit cash, which you can't with FlexDirect unless bagged, and the travel insurance is a perk, and it's free.
