    Those flexible filament LEDs sound great elstimpo and I haven't see them anywhere before.

    There have been some purely decorative stuff (low lumens) around for a while but flexible filaments with the ability to replace 40w/60w incandescent and 7w/11w LED's have not - which is why these are interesting !

    I've seen those IKEA ones - they're extremely unbright - decorative only as elstimpo says. And correct me if I'm wrong, but they're not flexible filaments - there's an LED buried in there with sort of fibre optic twisted giving out the light. These ones elstimpo has shared are much more interesting as the 'filament' is the source of light, AND it actually gives some out!
