i doubt you will be able to guarantee the purchase of the freehold and theres also no guarantee the leaseholders will want to buy and the less leaseholders that are willing to buy the more the freehold will cost you.
i would assume lease extension at the very least so make sure section 42 served so at least you can extend the lease.
how is the buildign managed and are service charges reasonable?0 -

You've misunderstood - or perhaps been misled.
It is only possible to buy the freehold of the entire building.
Some people (particularly EAs) call a 999 year lease a "virtual freehold" - but that is not a legal term. It just means it's almost like a freehold.0
