Flexible ISA Providers

Hi everyone,

i'm currently with Hargreaves lansdown for my ISA, but noticed that they have no plans to offer the new flexible ISA announced last year, which gives you the ability to withdraw any cash held within the ISA without losing your wrapper limit, as long as you put it back within the same tax year. I would like to use any spare cash in my stock and share isa against my offset mortgage, and therefore wondering if anyone has found a provider that offers this feature from 6th April? I've only managed to find 1 Share dot com. Here are those that currently are not offering this feature:

interactive investor
halifax
Hargreaves
Axa self investor
AJ Bell Youinvest

Anyone know of any providers that will be offering flexible isa's from 6th April?

Thanks,

Amit

From what I recall seeing somewhere it's not something that applies to S&S ISAs but it's probably worth checking the gov regulation site
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

The flexibilities can apply to cash, S&S or IF ISAs. There seem to be very few providers who have so far committed to introducing the flexibilities so far, just a handful of cash ISAs and one IF ISA that I'm aware of.

OP, there is a list of cash ISAs that offer the flexibiility started by gwapenut here. Of these, I think only one is suitable, which is the Virgin Easy Access ISA. So you could do a partial transfer of cash from your S&S ISA into that - or not, because I believe HL refuses to action partial transfer requests.

Unfortunately the others listed in that post are unsuitable, as they are not offering the flexibilities right away (National Counties, Lloyds), don't understand how they are supposed to work (Nationwide), or don't accept transfers into their flexible ISA (Coventry).
  • Hi, thanks for everyone's responses. i've discussed with share dot com they are saying they offer this facility, anyone had any experience of investing with this site?

I would only trust them on this once they have updated their T&Cs with the flexible terms. Don't rely on any verbal assurances as all too often the staff at ISA providers don't know what they are talking about.
  • thanks for the advice Colsten, very helpful. I've dropped them an email to get it confirmed. I also checked their site, they've devoted a whole page to explaining the flexible ISA offering. I would add a link here but being prevented as i'm a new user, Anyone interested in navigating to it its:

"share dot com forward slash stocks-and-shares-isas-explained forward slash flexible-isa forward slash."

So looks like they are committed to providing the facility, lets hope they've got it written in the T&C's.

Does anyone have a list of which providers are/aren't offering full flexibility (by that I mean the ability to withdraw and replace both current and previous tax years money)?

There's a discussion about this on the thread given below. Briefly, although some providers have confirmed flexibility for both current year's and previous years' (but on certain products), it doesn't appear to be in any terms and conditions yet.
