You need to stop thinking in terms of money for any type of comparison.

You need to look at what you have used in KWH.

80 days £123. 2 bed flat. Gas was £39. Scottish Power. Midlands. 2 occupiers during day.

In kWh I used 904kWh of electricity and 649kWh of gas in 80 days.

Gas is used for heating, hot water and cooking.

Heating was set to 19/20 during day and evening and then at 15/16 at night and in the morning. About 12 hours of each.

How is anyone offering anything that you can compare here?

So far seen 80 days, winter/summer, £, kwh.

Can we just use annual kwh as the most accurate comparrison? Probably worth mentioning things like electric shower/cooking/heating.

~£300 per year so around £25 per month.

Had a funny conversation with a safestyle man the other day about how i should look to the more energy efficient windows as the savings i would have on my bill would far outweigh the extra costs. Bold statement... especially when i told him the annual gas bill is £350 a year (id hazard a guess at about half being for hot water and cooking). Try as he may he couldnt get his numbers to work. All he kept saying was its better, theyre more efficient.

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Over the years from 1990 to 2015, the mean is 2708kWh PA, the median 2506kWh, the mode 2421kWh, and the SD 685kWh. That's for a 3 bed semi in East Anglia with gas heating, electric cooking & shower, and one occupant at home all day.

Our annual electric consumption is 2,563 KWh = £330.87
Our annual gas consumption is 13,504 KWh = £371.48
Giving us a duel fuel bill of £702.35 per year. Including the £150 per year Standerd charge :0( for gas and electric.

This is a x2 bed semi with Scotish Power.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)
