And stripey appears to have brought a friend home.

    NO

    Tho I did feed her
    Oh No!

I mentioned ages ago that I was off on holiday and always fed a lot of cats.
I've not got round to sorting my photos out (my Mum has moved house and sorting out a 80+ year old as well as all the cleaning of 2 properties has kept me busy) but I've just remembered this.....
in the taverna that we tend to go for lunch there was a young female cat who had a single kitten, maybe about 4 or 5 weeks old.
I gave her quite a few titbits and she'd eat a few then call to her kitten who usually hid behing a shutter but would venture out for the food.

I asked the old chap who serves in the afternoons (he's Romanian) if the cat belonged to the taverna and he said 'No, she's a vagabond'.

I thought it was a much nicer word than 'stray'.

    Thanks poll.

    Xx

    Another 5 weeks till retested

    Er
    Confession time
Tomcat went vets yesterday (bit of a struggle cos me got very limited mobility following a hemiplegic migraine) but our neighbour took me (he's also been helping with the dogs and stuff their lovely and I owe pressie)

    Vet looked at tomcat hits
He's been done for some reason he has very small pompoms which is why I thought he was entire oops

This happened to us. My friend who we took the cat in from assured us he'd not been "done" so once he'd settled and ventured confidently out from his hiding spot (took 6 months) we booked him in at the vets and Hubby took him up to drop him off, came back 10 minutes later with him cursing my friend. He had small pompoms and, to be honest, I'd not really studied his back area, he'd only just got used to us stroking his head.

The "pom-poms" don't disappear entirely, they (vet speak) "shrivel up beautifully"... Entire tiggers tend to be, proportionately, quite well-endowed, if their owner is fully grown.

Stripey's eyes, Mellymoo! The little chap looks so much better, I do not have the words. That is a confident kitten, I think. You and your OH have worked wonders, again, imho.

    Well done.

I hope the job is becoming easier, or less onerous, at least.

No, migraine very bad slept most of the day.

I got up for a drink and OH, tom cat were in the bed and stripey was on the windowsill.
Tomcat got up had some food and a love, pickle came I and tried to steal chicken from a ceazer and prawns
In the end I gave her some chicken on a plate so she would go away.

Popped my head in the bedroom Mr Stripey was stretched out along g the bed doing good the very best 'I am asleep, I am not opening my eyes because then you can't tell me to move' face.

He's a lot cheekier a little bit more weight and in for pompom removal smodlet

I wish you well with the job situation, I hope you find the right one very soon, Mellymoo. Been there, it sucks.

Please ensure you record some of Stripey's musical meows, lest they turn to soprano... and share them on YT so we may hear them.

I know the "I am a kitten who sleeps, do not dare to disturb me, mere human" pose.
