Brilliant, Mellymoo, just brilliant. Yes, some of these tiggers find it all too easy to forget just how lucky they are. The ones who have never been homeless, especially. I remember trying to explain to ours, when we had more than one, that there are tiggers in Africa/(name of less privileged place) who would be glad of what they are turning their noses up at (the same food they have found quite acceptable up to now)... all the while apologising for the terrible service, of course, "You just can't get the humans, these days, can you?"

Some of them don't even realise that some humans are untrainable! Of course, any tig unfortunate enough to find themselves in such a situation will probably do just as Tomcat/Pickle/Stripey Cat have done and vote with their paws... have you turned the "Vacancies" sign around to show "No Vacancies" yet?

Stripey been in ate gone back out.

Will do smodlet I'm only moving so slowly as she's been around for ages needed to check she didn't have a home paper collar has been on a week and is now grubby. She's grubby, though getting a bit cleaner now.
I don't want to scare her any more than she already is.
Unlike pickle and tomcat she's not friendly and confident she's nervous and scared.

Took in a stray once, a black and white male; his white bits were filthy. Within three or four days, he started to wash himself properly again, once he thought he had a place to be.

Makes perfect sense to me. If you were a cat and had nowhere to live, out in the cold all the time, struggling not to starve, would you care how you looked? What's the point of getting clean when you know you are going to be sleeping on dirt? Cats are highly intelligent and complex personalities, imo more individual than we are. Why should they not become depressed when their situation, through no fault of their own, is horrendous?

I do so hope it all works out with Stripey Cat and (s)he can be mended properly at the vet's and have a really good, fulfilling life with you, Mellymoo. Watching this space.

    Stripey has been in
Ate a chunk of catnip ball
Ate both pickle and tomcat food (serves them right) was settling down but a large crash from the living room (thanks dogs) meant she scuttled off she is looking a bit cleaner and less unkempt.

Am having dog issues my porky princess is not enjoying my working and if I leave the room for longer than 10 mins is weeing everywhere
I am getting a bit tired of mopping

Canine separation anxiety, eh? Poor stripey cat! Maybe he/she will be back later. Glad SC is looking a bit better. Will be thinking of you both.

Awww, Mellymoo, he is so gorgeous! What a babe. And he looks so settled. He's gotta stay now, right? Updates, please! Your home must be turning into Mogtropurrlis © Smodlet 2016 :)

He looks like the momma of my little dude, from that pic, same colours, similar markings.

    P. S. Just a thought, and apologies for the paranoia, probably not necessary on this forum, but your pic has some personal stuff in it which you may mind not at all. Personally, I would be a little reluctant to have such on the interweb. I do hope you do not mind my mentioning this, I have only your best interests at heart.

    Good point have cropped it.

You can just see his mangled ear but can't see how mangled his legs are or how thin he is.
