I can't stand a bad app, RBS gives me my reward account, and with the interest on my savings account with them it at least pays the fee.

No help to buy ISA yet though.

Are you forgetting you already have a HTB ISA with them?

    We ALL do!

And them fat cats get more than a 25% brucie bonus!
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

I would still stick with Halifax and see if they'll upgrade you to Reward after a few months.

The interest you're likely to get (from TSB) is negligible if you don't keep funds in the account.
Well I get paid around £900-£1100 per month. Balance goes pretty quick after a day of being paid ! Problem is Halifax have only accepted me for a basic account. Santander/TSB/RBS are full current accounts that I have

I am at a loss what you mean when you say we all have an HTB ISA with them. I can only guess that you are referring to the fact that the State owns LBG shares, but what this has to do with HTB ISAs is a mystery.

Along with tens of millions of other home owners / mortgagees I will never be entitled to an HTB ISA as long as one of the conditions for an HTB ISA is that the applicant is a First Time Buyer.

I also have no idea what "them fat cats" with "a 25% brucie bonus" are.

Thanks for clarifying. I take that as meaning you weren't actually meant to says we all have an HTB ISA, for the simple reason that we don't all have one. And I won't ask again about "them fat cats" right now.

If you ever had an interest in property, in the UK or abroad, you are not, and won't be, classified as a First Time Buyer. It doesn't matter if, or why, or how, you gave up such interest. If you ever owned an interest in a property, you simply can't undo that fact and you won't qualify for an HTB ISA or an HTB ISA bonus.

You will have to sign a First Time Buyer Declaration in order to get your bonus. You'll also have to make that declaration when you apply for the HTB ISA.
