TSB vs RBS

Hi all
Classic plus TSB is a great account but my income is very small to really recieve many of the benefits of it
RBS select account doesn't give anything but heard the app is really good.
Any thoughts ? Looking for good customer service and good banking services.
Also will using one bank account (salary paid in bills coming out) consistently over the next 5 years mean I'd be more likely to be approved for future lending once my bankruptcy falls off credit file ? Or does it all just depend on external credit checks.
I ask because with mobile contracts it differed. Eg O2 require a full external credit vet for every new connection, whereas Vodafone go on the last three months payment history and don't do another credit check.
Thanks

You don't get paid at least £500 net per month?
Halifax is better if you're not planning on leaving a balance in the account.debtorwithaquestion wrote: »Hi all

Well I get paid around £900-£1100 per month. Balance goes pretty quick after a day of being paid ! Problem is Halifax have only accepted me for a basic account. Santander/TSB/RBS are full current accounts that I have0

TSB 5% on it, use contactless for 5% cashback, save anything you know you can afford a month (£25 minimum) in their 5% regular saver.
After all monthly bills are paid on £900 what do you have left ?SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
TSB>RBS purely for the interest. Why do you need good banking apps or great service when you can manage everything online. Always go for the interest. Don't shortchange yourself.

Or do both
Select & Save as I say, select rewards and save as much as comfortable possible in the best interest savings account every month.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... I loved the pin entry after initial set up, so easy and I miss the Emergency Cash facility, well not much as if I leave my card at home I call my old man to EC me and transfer back later. As a senior he loves the pin only security app and mobile layout.
Shame some of the branch staff are really poor, the manager of my local was horrendous with me, well until I called customer services and complained about her attitude right across the counter from her
Imagine walking into a branch to open a account after calling customer services to see if a appointment was needed and what ID and being told no pop in to then have a a manager say she did not have the time or staff to do so, asked what income I had then after what I was getting DLA for  and why do I need to open at a branch at the other side of town when I had 3 closer branches (branches.. 1) junkies in high volume in and around branch/meth script supplying chemist next door, 2)business branch too busy 3) town centre too busy.
I hope when that branch closed they laid her off. I jumped ship to TSB as only bank left nearby (who now closed that lol).
I do miss RBS, not the pathetic savings rates though, old man makes 3 times his £3 fee on DD cashback monthly though so better than Halifax RewardSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... Natwest/RBS fab app but really only an option for the Rewards Account with Posisbly the rewards credit card. Maximise cashback this way but there is a £3 monthly fee on the account so you need to make sure your Direct Debits add up for cashback. TSB is better on balance with the cashback alone at 5% although it's due to end at the end of the year. The app is functional but not even as good as the Lloyds/Halifax group even though they share the same system platform.0

I can't stand a bad app, RBS gives me my reward account, and with the interest on my savings account with them it at least pays the fee.
No help to buy ISA yet though.0
