It is actually depressing when you have a nice item, nice photos, a good description and a friendly listing and it does not do well. Then you see something like that which actually hurts your eyes and fills you with fear about buying and it does quite well.

As above, it is tempting to make a purchase just to show her that there is a huge difference in what terms and conditions you put in your listing and what terms and conditions Ebay have. Despite Ebay forcing down your throat their protection buyers still seem to take a dodgy sellers word over Ebay.

It's not just pointless T's & C's, but also sellers who cut and paste a huge amount of detail about an item into their listing, but don't tell you anything at all about the condition of their particular (second-hand) item.

Especially when its something where the dimensions are critical and they give no clue as to the items size.

Buying tooling at present, L/H turning bar for lathe.. Thats it... err size what bits does it take? Is it a 6mm one for a benchtop lathe or a sub 4mm one for a watchmakers lathe or even a 3ft one for a commerial 800 ton boring maching?

Picture gives no clue and no mention of the sizes.

I had a good one recently, one of my many hobbies involves using a chemical liquid, nothing dangerous and in very small quantities and good brand can be expensive. However once the seal is broken on the container it has a short shelf life of a few weeks. I saw someone selling this liquid - selling as new but with the Comment that it is actually opened and a very small amount used but no longer required- he mentions there is still some shelf life in this as he only got it for his birthday . Unfortunately he omitted to say when his birthday had been so although it was ridiculously cheap (a 99p start with £3.30 postage) it wasn't worth the risk.

I know how annoying eBay buyers can be so whilst she is being really childish about the whole situation to fill up her listing with rubbish, honestly if I wanted the item I would still purchase from her.

I get the feeling from what she has said that she's simply an honest eBayer who doesn't want dishonest buyers to buy from her.

Honestly are her terms really that bad? She's just basically saying she'll only accept a return if there is a fault - and please only bid if you actually want the item and won't refuse to sign for it. Not saying that what she is doing is right - but I understand her frustration.

It wouldn't put me off buying from a seller like this as I know the eBay process and the law are on my side if there is legitimately something wrong.

She really shouldn't be running a business though if she doesn't like the fact that she has to refund in full for a change of mind return. It looks like she sells a lot of clothes which is one area that is likely to have a lot of change of mind returns.
