Just noticed this is mentioned on the other post about discounted i-pads. These discounts are because of the new i-pad 2 coming along. Expect around £100 off of previous prices. I haven't read what the i-pad 2 offers over the current model, but it might be worth checking to see which is best 'value' or what suits your requirements best.

well if the rumours are right then theres a shortage of chips for these as most were made in Japan, I suspect there may be a shortage or they could delay the UK launch

TBH, the "expected" launch date is earlier than what I originally expected.
