When to use the PAC code?

I have been with 3 for many years but after they ended my one plan, as the did with many others, and they would not offer me a good deal, I moved my business to BT. Iam not in contract with 3 (just monthly rolling) and they gave me my PAC code which will expire on 12 April. My BT sim has been active for over a week, but I did not give my PAC code to BT as I am worried if they transfer the number, 3 will charge me for ending the service before the complete 30 day(which will be 12 April). Am I correct in this?

It doesn't matter when you port. Three will either charge you for the full 30 days or not - this depends on T&C. Normally they do, but this case is special. Search the board for other threads on this change.
