Yes, I'm hoping they be switchable to the 100 free minutes option; the last lot look interchangeable, but I haven't opened the wallet.0

I got mine last week fron the previous offer. Asked for 6 got 5. Took a month to arrive !0

I think they are all changeable to the other tariffs they are doing now. It was only at first certain ones werent which according to a guy at o2 it was because they were upgrading their computer system and in the middle of transferring people from the old system to their new system and these new tariffs were only available on their new system.andy88 wrote:Yes, I'm hoping they be switchable to the 100 free minutes option; the last lot look interchangeable, but I haven't opened the wallet.0 -
Just got my first ever free O2 SIM's today (so please be gentle if I am being daft!)
Stuck one in my phone and the Texts are working without me paying anything! Did I read here a while back that this is a "feature" of these SIM'S or will these free Text's magically stop working soon?
Also, presumably they are not going to send me a bill in the post for these Text's...??
Thanks, Tx0 -
Your one of the lucky ones tony as im sure that shouldnt be happening!! Enjoy it!

For some reason, got another 4 last week ! ( seem to be newer, with a picture of a leaf or tree on the front) although I only requested once.0

I had an o2 sim (07871) from quite a while ago and have read that some of them work without topping up, So I've tried it and I am able to send texts and I've not added any credit to it.tonyg wrote:Just got my first ever free O2 SIM's today (so please be gentle if I am being daft!)

What I also remember is that someone mentioned that thier sim got barred even when they topped up afterwards, so if you plan on using/topping up the sim in the long run, then I think you should top up first to avoid problems later
Or you could see how long the free texts last before it gets barred.

Thread regarding sims being barred after getting free texts is here.
If you want to use the sim in the future it doesn't seem to be such a good idea
