I just recently became Select.

Noticed my 123 Current Account still shows as a 123 Current Account and not Gold anything - does it take some time for the name to switch (only became Select 24hrs ago).

Also how do I go about getting a Gold Debit card - plus any other perks I should ask about ?

The product name doesn't change until you ask for the gold card.

Ring them on the "Select" number posted above to ask for the card.

Other benefits: They answer the phone a bit quicker.

How long from calling and requesting it does it take for the account type to switch ?

Also how long for the Gold Debit card ?

The rest of the world seem to get a really nice black world mastercard elite debit card and we just get the Gold one . . .

how do you find out when you've become a Select customer then? Do you get a letter?

Just incase anyone wanted the answer for this one the account name changed overnight and the new debit card also appears on the system.

Also supersaverbob the most immediate indication is the SELECT lettering next to Santander in the top left of your online banking.

You get free access to most of the global Santander ATM network (for free) whilst standard accounts only give free access to Spanish ATMs.

The NY area, Germany and Portugal are probably the most useful to those not visiting Latin America.
