thanks brizzledfw, we where lucky when we took out or mortgage and only needed it over 20 years, 18 left now and no tbh it is a very manageable £403 a month. At least that is something to be grateful for. It is a recent new build that was reprocessed form previous owners, so we managed to get a bargain.

Not much to update today. Will have to look at signature and update it. Also planning on doing a few balance transfers and some of the 0% offers end this month and got other offers available - so will need to work out the best tactics for this!

Managed a NSD yesterday - making 3/15 - not doing too badly here.

Done some batch cooking yesterday - made a big pot of soup to do the lunches this week for me and hubby. Also made Bolognese with red lentils to make the mince stretch so should be able to get a small lasagne and pasta Bolognese out of this. Made a Tuna Pasta bake and put into smaller dishes and now in the freezer (one out for dinner) made 3 dishes of this - so should be enough for dinners this week - means less temptation of the chippy!

Shock Horror - also done some exercise yesterday - ok not much - 10 min on exercise bike and 30 min quick walk on treadmill! Go me.

Hoping that today will also me a NSD.

Quick update form me, as expected Tues was a NSD making that 4/15 - well on track.

However, yesterday was not a NSD - went to Tes*o to get some stuff for FIL and came out £40 lighter spending on myself. However this came out of the grocery budget, so still on track for the end of the month. Got 12 days until pay day - hoping that i can stick to the budget for the rest of the month.

On a good point however, today will be a NSD, in my jammies and not leaving the comfort of the sofa for the rest of the day, after a hard day at work.

No real payments to the CCs apart from DDs so nothing exciting to report here, hoping that come the end of the month i might have managed to save some money on petrol budget and food budget (although spending £40 every time i go to Tes*o isn't going to help here) to make a small OP to the CCs

Will update signature with current figures

Ok, so confession time, had a bit of a spendy weekend. Friday night husband needed new shoes and underwear - shoes cost £34.99 and underwear £18.
Then to follow up went shopping yesterday and spent £94.47 on food/drink as we had friends calling over last night. Also bough cleaning products for the Dishwasher and washing machine as both where in dire need of cleaning. This is one area that I need to learn to curb my spending. Don't know what I got for my money!

So still at 4/15 NSD for the month so far, but today will make it 5/15 as I am not getting dressed today!

So instead of carrying on the spending as I would normally after a spendy weekend, this time I am going to refocus my efforts and try to spend nothing until payday on the 20th. If i do spend it will be coming out of the OD and if i use this I get a charge of £1 a day, so that will be my motivation, anytime i go to use it I need to remember this.

Hope everyone is having a thrifty day!

so managed a chippy tea tonight, and didn't pay for it myself. Woohoo.

On a positive point another NSD - this make 6/15. Well on target for me 15 this month.

No change to the debt figures today.
Short post today as nothing else to report and don't want to bore myself or anyone who might be reading!

Happy that I ccan report 2 more NSDs - that makes 8/15 for the month - so well on target for the month.

Pay day on the 20th, so need to make sure that I spend nothing (or as little as possible) until then.

Debts have increased slightly, I had some where the 0% offer was up so completed some transfers and just had the fees added on. Figures have increased slightly. They are not as low as I expected at the start of the month, but I had an unexpected spend - some of which was covered by emergency fund I had accumulated and the rest went on CC.

Roll on pay day to lower the figures and restart savings!

so since last posted I have managed a further 3 NSD bringing the monthly total to 11/15 - so still well on target.

Nothing much else to report in money terms, so won't bore anyone who is reading by rambling on!

    HI endoftheost...

I am hoping that this motivates me, I like to pay everything off my debt, then remember that I forgot to budget for a birthday/insurance etc, so this is helping me get a little better organised.

On other news managed a NSD on Monday, didn't on Tues as both myself and OH are not well, so got a chippy tea.

As yesterday was the end of my financial month I have calculated and my debts are at £29,382 as of yesterday. It was £29,626.79 a month ago, so going in the right direction, but not by as much as I would have hoped.

Now it is a waiting game for dds to be paid and husband to be paid, once he is paid I hope to clear B'Card 2 and hopefully this will be gone forever!

Also hoping to getting the Santander down to £400 this month - big aim, but hoping I can manage this. Fingers crossed.

I have budgeted for everything for the month (I hope) got my sisters birthday - but have a Next gift voucher so going to call there on the way home and see if I can pick up something nice but not pricey for her! Got a confirmation also, but hoping some money in a card will cover this all from budget.

My niece turns 2 this month, but already sorted her present when I saw an item on sale a few months ago!

So looking good for the month ahead for me, hope it pans out.

As going shopping today and using voucher going to call it NSD - that makes 14/15 for the month of April
