Hey all
Decided to start a diary after lurking for some time. Have reduced and increased debt for some time now, but Decided that this is going to go for good.
As my username suggests, got around £30,000 in debt -well £29,626.79 to be exact. This is spread across 7 creditors. All payments are up-to date with a few over paid above minimum payment.
Decided to start this diary to keep me on track with ad-hoc unnecessary spending. It's amazing how quickly cash can go. I work better not having cash on me, so going to continue with no cash and leave cards at home. Removed temptation. If I manage it this month with no more unnecessary spending should be able to get debt down to £28500 come pay day (20th month).
Was thinking about food in freezer/cupboards and should have enough to keep us going until the 10 April at least.
For today got a pulled pork in slow-cooker, but will need to purchase some chopped rimmed tomatoes or pasta, which ever is cheapest to make a BBQ sauce. This should do two nights dinner.
All help appreciated.

Good luck on your journey!! Your a newbie just like me so have subscribed to see how you get on x** One reason why people resist change is because they focus on what they have to GIVE UP, instead of what they have to GAIN. **0

Thanks for all the lovely replies. So new calendar month starts on Friday, it's a 30 day month, think I will aim for 15 nsd. Don't want to aim any higher and let's to a bigger fall. I won't include my direct debit into nsd challenge as they come out all over the month. Let the fun begin.Debt as of 20-03-2016 £29,626.79

So relatively low spend day yesterday, bought two tins of tomato's to make bbq sauce for dinner, make enough to freeze for later in the month. Remembered to bring soup for lunch today, and having pulled pork for Dinner, ready made in fridge. So based on this, today should be a nsd. Fingers crossed.
In other money terms hoping to make a large payment of £ 800 to one cc, £250 to credit union (these are my only interest adding debts) and £100 to saving in credit union, means money is immediately accessible, but can be got if really needed, should stop impulsive spending. Was gonna wait until end of month to make large payment to cc but the temptation would be too much, and I know I'd be lucky to have £500 come the end of the month!!

So on top of the £17.39 spend yesterday on food, I bough bin bag for £12.42 - so that was a grand spend of £29.81.
As today is the start of the month and I have set myself a target of 15 NSD for the month - lets hope that I can make a good start with the first one today.
Also made a payment to B'card 1 yesterday of £750 and £50 to Halifax 2 - will do an updated list of balances at the weekend.
Remembered lunch today - not that there is much opportunity to buy lunch where I work which is good. OH works in city centre, so if I take lunch so does he, so minimizes spending!!
Changed internet provider and cancelled BT Sport and new sim only providers, so hoping that I will see these saving more next month. All going the right way.
Good luck to everyone on their journey. Just hoping that I can keep my momentum up.Debt as of 20-03-2016 £29,626.79

had a post wrote out but it didn't post - so here is the shorter version
Fri - spend £40 in the supermarket - went for a bottle of wine - but the spend still leave me on target for budget this month.
Sat - spend this cleaning out the kitchen cupboards and washing everything - so didn't leave the house - resulting in a NSD (1/15)
Sun - have the FIL coming for dinner, asked husband to lift tin of peas from FIL house to go with dinner - this means no visit to the shop and hopefully NSD (2/15)
Hope everyone is having a lovely relaxing SundayDebt as of 20-03-2016 £29,626.79
