Sorry, but they are holes in the house, by definition. Ventilation is complicated.
And the OP hasn't confirmed it's for underfloor ventilation yet.0 -

Sorry, yes, it's to ventilate the underfloor. The guy that wanted 3 hadn't seen the underfloor area so hadn't counted the air brick in the kitchen wall, whereas the original guy knew that the wall between kitchen and diner was itself ventilated so felt that 3 more was ott.0
