There's an air brick in another wall.

One isn't enough - you have to have an airflow.

On the other hand, three seems a bit excessive. Did you ask why he specified three?

I would think easy way to do it now would be to get central heating installer/plumber who have the large circular hole cutters.

The ones the use to install flues / ventilation holes to drill from outside straight through both walls then finish outside wall with chisel to fit vent in.

Would have to be sticking out a bit if roughcasting.

Or tool hire shop and DIY

Well I'd want to know why! You're adding some holes to your house, it's going to cost you money both to do the work, and all the extra air around your house you'll be heating.

Get BC to explain, it's why they are there.

Maybe to stop his timber floor rotting.

A core drill would do it.

There are currently no air bricks in that wall for that room. Quite why it has become necessary for successful building regs sign-off is beyond me.

I know that's the process with bricks, but the wall is blocks. Also, the inside is not accessible as it's below floor level.

then repeat the process for the block wall, ie, you have drilled the corners, now form a rectangle, chain drill and smash the mother through, if it's underfloor it's outasight, a little spelsh does not matter.
Without being condescending, it an hour with a lump hammer, not rocket science
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

It's now down to two air bricks after a visit from the original building control chap that was dealing with my property. He agreed that 3 was excessive in a single 3.5m wall. He also apologised and said that he should have told the builder they were required before he built the wall. Better than nothing I guess.

They're not holes into the house but to ventilate the underfloor spaces.
