Thanks for this Aesop, I'm in a state of shock!! Brilliant to see how much can be earned

It didn't happen overnight, Emma worked hard on her blog and other stuff to get where she is now. But shows it can be done.

Oh, I skim read the article as I knew most of what Emma did already, but just seen her mention on Facebook, that the daily fail has as normal got some facts wrong.... ie she did not make £100K in one day lol, or one year. that is her 5year plan.

but remember, some of the stuff you read will have been greatly exaggerated by the reporter for bigger reading, but a lot of it works, like Mystery shopping, apps, matched betting, blogging etc.

    Bless her. :D

Very sad to read the abusive comments at the end of the article though :(

    Totally agree, Procrastinater.

Why are there always these nasty people who resent other people's happiness and success? They've obviously never heard the saying 'if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all'. They just like the sound of their own voice, they must lead sad little lives to need to make disparaging remarks about someone they don't know who has made such an effort to improve their own lives. It's because it's all anonymous on the internet, posters can say what they like hidden behind a made-up name. I doubt they'd be as brave and outspoken in real life;)

Thanks for the link, Aesop:T. What an interesting and inspiring story:j

Some good recommendations in it for MS and survey companies she works for etc. Will be following some of them up when I get a bit more time.

Now get your ar*e in gear and get some money earnt! ;)

I'm following your advice, Kantankrus Mare. You'll be proud of me;), I've made a massive £1.52 in the past 6 days:rotfl:. It was cashback from TCB that eventually came payable from something bought before Christmas! Well, I've also done some surveys and other things but no real money redeemed or received. I don't count survey cash until it's in my bank or I've received the vouchers and I doubt I'll be getting anything before April ends:(. A hopeful start for May:j

Been doing as many surveys as I can and after pre-screening have been selected for an online focus group (good payer:j) and another one to test a food product:j ,both next week. Hardly ever get edible stuff to test at home, the last evaluation was for toilet roll:rotfl:

All sorted for my first car boot sale of the year tomorrow, the bottom of the car is practically scraping on the ground it's so fully-loaded with tat. Not much of any value, if I sell the whole lot I'll not be much better off but having it gone and gaining some free space is worth more than money even to someone as hard-up as me;). The weather tomorrow doesn't look too promising. There was frost last night too. Have to set-up at 5.30 in the morning so will definitely need thermals.

    Have a great weekend , all:beer:

:bdaycake:Happy Birthday from me too, Lexbubbles. Have a good one_party_.

There's a lot being made of Shakespeare's anniversaries today but people seem to have forgotten that it's St George's Day too. Scotland, Ireland and Wales celebrate their national days in style but in England we just seem to let ours pass without much interest.

It was my Dad's birthday today, he was always chuffed that he shared it with St George and Shakespeare:j.

Indeed! Miserable wretches. I wish I could take the moral high road and ignore spineless bullies like that, but unfortunately they're a red rag to a bull to me. Suffice to say, I was unable to resist leaving a comment of my own!

Nothing to report from me. I've got £30 pending from an online focus group I did and have done several other surveys but not reached any payout thresholds. I know I make the most money by selling things on amazon and ebay but I'm not in the mood this week either to list things or drop them off at the post office.

I'm doing well on the not spending anything non-essential challenge I set myself this month. Only thing I've bought outside weekly shop and petrol has been some sudafed and I'm far better off being able to breathe than saving £3.50.

Amazon has a 20% off sale on kindles at the moment and I'm trying very hard not to buy one. I promised myself I could get one when I had enough in amazon vouchers so I've still got some savings to go. I keep telling myself that they'll go on sale again later in the year and I don't need it right this second.
