Just realised I got paid an extra £45.81 child tax credits this morning. I have no idea why, has anyone else had this ? I might count it as it isn't regular income xx

I don't get tax credits anynore. But last time there was an extra payment people said it was due to an adjustment in amount payable, ie if you were underpaid

I think that is probably what it is from looking around on a few sites. It's nice though as I never usually get told I have been underpaid lol. I think I will count it on my total for this month.

I also just made an online payment of a whopping £2.30 off my housing benefits overpayment. I just wanted to see if the system would accept little payments so I rounded it down to the nearest £10. I think it might just !!!! them off though lol.

Off to update my siggi on both counts x

    Good for you!

It's quite funny as i work for an accountancy firm. We bill insurance companies or the patient direct for what the dr charges.

Onr woman hss a large bill, standard price but she obviously cannot afford to pay it. She is avoiding the company's phone calls for payment but is making small payments when she can.

I was trying to stick up for her saying obviously she can't afford to self pay, has no insurance, so is paying her bill with small payments whenever she can afford it.

They weren't impressed, lol. I can understand from the firm's point of view. The admin probably costs more long run to sort out account. But fairplay to the patient, she isn't defaulting, just trying to pay what she can manage.

It reminds me too much of my old place that made me redundant. Nio proper training, no procedures and much more. I can just see this place folding soon too. And the most experienced member of staff is jumping ship soon....

Morning everyone :) am managing to get back to doing a bit of earning again though not a huge amount. Am glad to have various payments coming in from previous work completed (which was the whole point of me changing my earning strategy so is good to now be able to reap the rewards of it when not well!

My ebay buyer finally paid up so £10 from that, got my $25 bonus from GDI, and Clixsense up to $14.14 so needs some work lol!

Aesop so sorry to hear the job is not going well and hope you get something else soon!! It does surprise me a little that you don't opt for working from home sometimes, but i know there is much more to work than just the cash. I'm sure you will find the right one for you :)

Have you checked you actually need to repay the HB overpayment? ie if it was their fault and not yours you might not have to. I had an overpayment sorted out from some rule about that before but it was years ago and can't remember too much of the details...just might be worth checking ;)

I tried to for a year. Hubby had to support me financially as I wasn't earning enough to pay bills, buy food etc.

I dont get any help, just child benefit. And really don't enjoy being up until midnight writing reports from jobs.

I know emmaglet successfully gave up her job to work from home and does but she had money to invest in things like PA before giving up her job. I would like to have some hard cash coming in and then try things like PA again. But to be honest I want to work without all the self employed hours and hassle lol.
