£6.94 on paid from Music Magpie this morning. Still waiting for payment from We Buy Books and Ziffit.
How long does We Buy Books usually take to let you know they've received your books? I sent them last Saturday (same as Music Magpie) and have heard nothing. Although Music Magpie didn't pay til yesterday I did receive an email from them mid-week to say they were received which I thought was good. I'd just like to know they've been received.Make £5 a day in April | £226.80/£1500 -
Not feeling too happy this morning as I've just had to refund £29 to the buyer of my first and only book on Amazon:mad:. Buyer bought it Good Friday evening and I specified on my listing that I don't post stuff on Saturdays. What with the Easter bank holiday on Monday I made sure the book went first thing on Tuesday 29th. I was delighted with the profit on the sale, I'd picked up the book myself in a bookshop closing-down sale for £3.50, so sent it 1st class (picking up the extra cost myself but only 50p extra so no big deal really) to speed it on its way a bit.
Buyer emailed yesterday to say it hadn't arrived and again this morning after his postman had been. That's an awful long time for something to travel about 100 miles at 1st class rates:eek: so I refunded.
All sorts of little setbacks for me (money lost instead of gained) this week so I'm glad I'm not officially doing the challenge this month. Will be money-making with a vengeance, or trying to anyway;), in May so I'll definitely be joining in then:j
Some wonderful amounts of money being made by you all and in lots of ways I'd never heard of before:o. I know I'll learn a lot from you all on this thread:beer:0 -

I am sorry to hear about your setbacks, I have signed up to sell on Amazon before but have never listed a product, i personally prefer eBay as it's what i'm use to, does anyone know how successful selling on Amazon is, I have never bought anything second hand from Amazon, i've always bought new, and if i want something second hand, my initial thought is eBay!Documenting my journey from full time support worker to full time eBay reseller0 -
Sneaked in to the £10 zone on Prolific, was getting annoyed that I was falling behind last week so I've been checking it religiously on my lunch breaks and in the evenings and managed to catch a bunch of short low-paying ones.
Logged in to AdSense for the first time in aaaaages and discovered that I have £3.48 sitting in it from a blog that I used to run for one of my Etsy shops. Views have still been trickling in over the years (possibly because the last post I did was a step-by-step guide on how to report image theft to Etsy) so the pennies are slowly creeping up.
Irritatingly I can't do anything with the money because bloody Google won't let you cash out until you hit £60, which is an obscene amount of money for most blogs. But now that I know the money is there, and is slowly increasing, I'm considering relaunching the old blog as a most personal one. I'm trying to buy a house, and whatever I buy is going to need some work done to it, which could make some interesting posts. I also take photos that aren't really suitable for my history website so they could occasionally go on there, and anything else I can think of as I go.
But on the other hand it's just one more thing to try and find the energy for, and I'm not very good at picking my battles with this kind of thing :rotfl:0 -
Could someone talk to me about Apptrailers... I just found it lurking on my phone (never used it) but I'm sure people redeem for Paypal and I can't see it. Any pointers from an expert would be lovely.Make £520 a year in 2020 so far (£0 cash £0 AGC)

Blogging is something I am trying to get more into, I am currently writing articles to publish on my own money saving blog, which contains tips on how to save and make money! My good Adsense is at 99p
I keep reading that as a general rule with adverts you will make 1% of what your average visitor traffic is, so if you have 100 viewers a month, music make £1' 1000, £10 etc, not sire how true this is however I keep reading it so there must be some truth to it. The main blog I follow which published a similar article said she has 400,000 viewers per month and she works on her blog all the time, she said she makes £4,000 a month from adverts alone! Not including sponsorship, people paying her To write and selling via her site!
I would recommend to everyone to write a blog! However it is something you need to put 110% into to get a return!
Plus it's also not as easy as writing, you need to know how to customise your blog to maximise viewer interest etcDocumenting my journey from full time support worker to full time eBay reseller0 -
On a separate note, I wombled a working bread maker from a friend today, she said I could sell it and keep what I make, I think it'll sel for at least £20Documenting my journey from full time support worker to full time eBay reseller0

Blogging is not as easy as it sounds. Some people have a natural flow when writing and it reads well. Others are very stilted. The othet problem is driving traffic to your blog and getting it up on the first page of google.
My niece blogs and we were talking about monetizing blogs but she doesn't do it, although she could. She blogs because she enjoys blogging about makeup lol. She actually does really well and gets sent freebies eyc0 -
You could keep it and make your own bread - you might make even more in the long run. Though to be fair, the hassle of making bread v popping down the shops might not be worth it.Make £520 a year in 2020 so far (£0 cash £0 AGC)

I gave it up last summer when the ads stopped crediting and were getting fewer and fewer paid ads. Saying that soneone on facebook cashed out recently.
From what I can remember you had to put your PayPal address in settings and it had to be verified paypal.
Then when you reach cashout, it offers you paypal to redeem.0
