Hi everyone I was just wondering if anyone has experience of the following. I want to change my first name by deed poll. I am married and took my husband's surname. Anecdotal I know but here goes. My mum went to a Catholic school where the teachers refused to call her by her first name. The star of the time was Shirley Temple and having the same name was improper. For years she answered to her middle name.Old and I mean old school friends still call her by her middle name.

My point is call yourself anything .
