shopping list board

I remember my mum having a wipe-clean memo board which she used to write her shopping list on. It had like a waxy crayon/pencil to write with and the board was a kind of laminate if I remember rightly.

I am after something similar but have drawn a blank! Does anyone know if you can still get these, or do you have any recommendations for a wipe-clean board I can put on my kitchen wall so that I can write down things that I've run out of.

I've had a look on the Lakeland website and they seem to sell the pens but not the boards..?

I have four of these whiteboards on my fridge, which I got off ebay - one is for a shopping list, one is for a 'to do' list, one is my weekly meal-plan and one is my freezer inventory. I find them really useful but I would suggest one caveat - most of the whiteboards come with magnetic strips and my plan was to put them on the front of my fridge but fridges tend to curve, and the whiteboards have rigid frames so they don't. The magnets don't hold properly and it's a bit of a pain when the boards keep getting knocked off I have since seen magnetic whiteboard 'paper' on ebay and my plan is to get four of these sheets to replace the whiteboards. Some sellers even sell ones with pre-printed headings, or I bet you could buy the 'paper' and print your own heading on it. Either way the boards are really useful.

I have a small Moleskine notebook that I keep in the kitchen that I add to as and when needed i.e if I'm going to run out of anything or fancy making a recipe and need some new ingredients. I can the then take the notebook with me when shopping.

You can use dry-erase markers directly on the fridge surface - no need for a board.
They work on stainless steel and glass too.

That's not quite what she had, but I guess a whiteboard or a chalk board would do the job.

I suppose that depends upon the colour of your fridge. Mines black so wouldn't be able to see anything written on it lol

Look in office supplies, we have loads of whiteboards at work.
I use a note ap on my phone, that way I can write things down when I remember and it goes to the shops with me

DD1 has pens that write in white and can be erased. They are designed to write on black mirrored tiles that are also magnetic, and are sold at Clas Ohlson. They'd probably work well on your black fridge.
