Is that a decent quote for minor servicing?

Options
I know that some of you will probably suggest that I do it myself but I couldn't gather the courage to do it. So this is the best quote I got. Thanks for letting me know if I am being taken for a ride :)

All genuine parts (£120)
Engine Oil
Oil Filter
Air Filter
Fuel Filter
Pollen Filter
Brake Pads

Labour (£100)

All prices include VAT.

  • What sort of car is it?
£220 for parts and labour is about right for a service for some vehicles but far too cheap for others.

It's about what it would cost to DIY it (with the brake pads), so i'd be suspicious as to whether any of that list actually got done.... OR it's a tyre/exhaust chain and they'll look for other issues to add to the bill.

My last minor service on an Astra was £60 labour, £35 parts. I suppose it depends where you are & what's needed.

You think it would cost 220£ to diy a service and brake pads on a corsa?
Despite op having been given a breakdown of the quote for parts and labour.

    Op
    The price looks ok.
In fact even with the sellers markup on parts the parts look a little steep in price (unless it's front and rear pads in which case looks good).
But for what looks like a proper service (many don't do fuel filter) and brake work it doesn't look at all excessive

It depends what people mean by minor service. I suspect yours was just a simple oil service which is what I'd class as a "minor service" too, the OPs service included brakes and I think he got charged pretty much the going rate for what he's had done.

That looks like a full/major service to me. And looks reasonable. I've just paid about that for a full service without brake pads, albeit on a larger diesel car.

    Seems about right.

Vauxhall parts are pretty cheap to buy, looks like about 2 hours labour depending on the area the OP lives in.

brake pads seems a strange thing to add without a prior inspection, have they been listed as low on an mot advisory then

The brake pads were mentioned during the MOT test hence why I wanted to get them done. Thanks so much everyone for your help.
