Have a look at the WileyFox Swift
https://www.wileyfox.com/swift/
There will be a flash sale on for the phone at Amazon soon to bring the price down a bit.
Subscribe to WileyFox for more info of when the sale is going to be on. (Was supposed to be a couple of days ago, but it looks like there was a glitch at Amazon)0 -
Take a look at deals posted on the HotUkDeals website as some great promotions appear on it.
If you are not committed to android then there are some good prices on Windows phones, the downside being the quality and quantity of apps.0 -
thanks both, swift looks very intersting0

If you like larger phones, go for the Xaomi Redmi Note 2. Really good specs for the money - much better than the Wileyfox.
You can get the 32Gb version from Amazon Warehouse for £116.

Dual sim, so you can have one sim with cheap data and the other for cheap calls and texts. I use a combination of Three 3 2 1 and White Mobile.
The camera is really good too!

Could you use a data-only sim in one of the sim slots. I am thinking of the "3" data sims that are offered on ebay for £14.99 for 6 GB. If so, does that mean you could also use this phone to tether other gadgets like an ipod or ipad?0 -
As far as I know, the phone just uses ordinary sims.
You should be able to tether - most smart phones have this functionality but I've not tried it with this phone. NB Tethering is not allowed by some mobile companies.0 -
Great value 4g phone is the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6
Sometimes on offer at £99, easily unlocked for under £2 on ebay
