Graco 123 Endure car seat

Options
Hi all,

I bought one of these a while ago from Aldi, but am struggling to fit it behind the passenger seat of my new vehicle (a v spacious estate, bought with the growing baby in mind). There just doesn't seem to be enough seat belt for the purpose. I gave up after 1/2 hour of sweating and puffing yesterday and reverted to the size 0, but have resolved to try again this afternoon. It's the same one as this.

Any success out there / tips?

TIA :)

Is it definitely compatable with your car as not every seat is compatible with every car? It can be very dangerous if it isn't. Is there a Mothercare or Halford nearby you could ask for assistance with fitting the car seat, or a council fitting centre?

I thought it would be compatible as long as its sits flush with the car seat?

I emailed the manufacturer earlier so should have a response in due course. Another poster has kindly offered me their expertise in this area so that's another option.

Do you mean not enough adult seat belt to hold the child seat in place? That would surprise me, as the adult seat belt needs to be large enough to hold in a substantially tummied adult (well, it does if it's me ...)

We don't have the Graco but have a similar class of seat. On ours the belt goes 'through' the back of the seat (behind the cloth but in front of the frame), out the opposite side, and into the buckle. I do generally have to pull out the belt to its fullest extent to have sufficient 'play' to feed it through; I then kneel on the base of the child seat for weight and to push it back, feeding the slack of the belt back through so that it retracts.

eta. Just a thought - Youtube is often good for fitting videos :)
