Hi all,
Hope your all in one piece after the high winds last night - we had 108 mph monitored here  no damage to our property, but lots of fallen fences about when we popped out earlier.
It's my darling hubbies birthday today, and as we were out both Sat and Sun with various friends, he wanted to spend today 'chilling', so we are watching rubbish films, drinking wine and shall dine on steak and salad later, with a HM tiramisu mouse for pud
It's been a really good weekend :T
Hugs to all xxNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Afternoon (((((((((((hugs))))))))))) if you need one.
Sorry to hear you are still waiting for news Gers, its horrid waiting, we had the same with DS2, we had to wait until after Christmas.
It was raining this morning when we set off to Morrison to get bread and milk to fill up the freezer in the sewing room.
I have worked on more blocks for the quilt this afternoon whilst OH was sorting out a new jig saw.
The rain cleared at lunch time and although its very cold in the wind the sun has been shining.
No real plans for this week...apart from Friday when OH has to go and get his 48 hour monitor, he is supposed to be getting a tooth out on Saturday, I think he needs to speak to the hospital.
The freezer is now full, with bread, milk and yogurt in. No point running it empty......hopefully we will not run out of milk or toasting bread this coming month.0 -
I got back last night after a few days away which did me the world of good despite coughing, spluttering and sneezing through it!
Lovely to be somewhere nicely decorated and carpeted without huge packing boxes waiting for somewhere to go and be emptied.
I remembered to change the clocks etc but got woken when the builders turned up at eightThe living room has now had the stone fireplace demolished and the stove taken away. They also stripped the wallpaper off ready to be plastered over tomorrow.:j
I managed to cook chicken, roast potatoes, green beans, asparagus, carrots, cauliflower and broccoli with small yorkies and gravy for the six of us. DDs helped me move the bottom half of the Welsh Dresser into the conservatory and I will unpack a couple of boxes of dishes and glasses into it tonight or tomorrow.
Youngest dd has a job interview tomorrow at 11.30 so will be crossing my fingers and toes for her as it sounds like a good firm.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Evening everyone
Hope you've all had a lovely Easter. Still got an argumentative ds2, thinks it's all stress of exams looming. Dh doesn't help matters instead of leaving him be when he is grumpy, he try's to make him have a conversation then when ds2 gets upset says he has no respect. As dh is his stepdad, I'm always the one in the middle. Dh doesn't do this to his dd's but then they are adults, even though 1 can behave like a child. (Rant over).
Had a quiet day, apart from the arguments. Packing as I'm up north for next few days seeing family.
Candygirl - I used to go to Avenham park every year when I lived up North.
Gers - hope you hear something soon, thinking of you.
Judy - enjoy your break.
Elona - glad you had a nice break. Hope your home is soon finished.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one.
Take care0 -
Hello everybody, belated happy Easter. I am having problems witha new charger so havent been around much.
Easter was lovely as we had all 7 grandchildren here and got some nice photos, unfortunately DGS2 brought 24 hour bug in his Daddys and passed it on to DGD 2, but I think that they have both recovered..........may have been aggravated by the (apparently) thousands of Easter eggs consumed.
We had roast lamb yesterday, with leftovers today, love lamb, butfind it too expensive to have except as a treat, it was really lovely.
Have missed so many days I will just congratulate anyone who is celebrating and sympathy to anyone in sad cir cumstances.
