  • Morning everyone. Had a bad night's sleep because of the heavy rain and winds. At the moment it's quiet and even sunny outside. Not due to last long though...

Going to spend the day sorting out the spare room and decluttering some bits to take to charity shop on Wednesday. Might see if I find anything worth bunging on ebay or gathering for a car boot.

Still in my PJs so guess I should get dressed if I intend to make the day profitable (no pun intended!).

    Have a good day everyone.
  • Good morning everyone,

Well I had a c**p night last night, it was probably a combination of the howling wind, and all the c**p food I ate, didn't agree with me:rotfl:

At the moment its windy but bright and sunny, so I have some washing just finishing, and will hang it out. I'm going to have a quick hoover round, and then I will change our bed and clean our room.

Not sure what else will do today, DH is out working, so will see him this evening. DD and I had planned to go to Bluewater as we didn't make it the other day, but she's still in bed:rotfl: We'll see if she wants to go in a bit.

Not sure what to do for dinner tonight, but I really need to loose some weight, as I feel so uncomfortable so I think I will try for something healthy and low fat. We had a roast chicken last night, and DH said it was nice to have occasionally but he was more than happy to stay on the vegetarian food, so I'm pleased he said that, although I do have l/o chicken, but think I will freeze it and use it up gradually.

AOD wow! snow at Easter that's not something we've had for years.

Well have a good day everyone, stay warm, dry and hope the wind stops. Hopefully spring it on its way!

Morning chums back from my 'morning mile ' as I'm in training again for July's Race for Life.DD just rang and said she is taking us all out for a meal tonight as a treat for her and son-in-law and boys as the weather has been so rubbish so no cooking for me tonight. Been decluttering paperwork over the weekend and it seems to multiply the minute you take your eyes off of it doesn't it :).I am making up a big black bag for my eldest DD to take into work as she has a huge shedder there which will do the job for me. Light lunch for me I think as I'm eating out tonight I think I'll do a chicken wrap with some salad.I enjoyed my morning mile today even though it was a bit windy ,it certainly blows the cobwebs away at least.Little bit of ironing to do then lunch and some knitting .I shall be off out around 6ish for a nice meal courtesy of Dd bless her.
Hope you all have a good day whatever you are doing.
    Cheers chums JackieO xx

Well it snew for about 40 minutes and since then we have had more rain some sun and more big grey clouds so I am not going to put the washing out, it can dry indoors.

I should do some work today but feel a bit rubbish so I shan't. I have to do some tomorrow, don't quite know why I bother booking leave.

House could do with a bit of hoovering but DS stayed up most of the night watching TV as we have a free month of SKY, he is binging. So I will leave that until he has had a little more sleep as I do not want to spend this afternoon with a bad-tempered young man.

TA I hope the snow hasn't come your way. I was surprised to see it and opened tge back door to see properly as the windows were all spotted with the rain earlier and a lot blew in at me so my dressing gown is drying now.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

    Morning all,

Really bad night here with the wind howling and torrential rain, woke this morning to find a tree across the drive, its been dead for ages and I'm not surprised its fallen, OH has been out and cleared the drive but will have to wait for the council to come and remove the tree.

Going to have a quick tidy round then go for a drive out and walk the dog, not sure about dinner tonght, will go and rummage in the freezer after this.

Hope everyone is ok after the storm.

    Have good days all xx

Well, it's the afternoon now and my 'fluid plans' went awry. I visited my friends for a morning cuppa and was delighted that they were going to cycle the length of the canal there and back. I wanted to head off to the big shops but when I got only as far as my place I notice the car error message telling me I had no air pressure in one tyre. Flat as a pancake - I remember hitting the big huge pothole about 20 yards away the other night so it must have popped my tyre. I had already reported the hole to the council.

Anyway, my friend's husband came down and changed the tyre, I've got a space-saver with this car, and the next door farmer stopped too. I phoned the garage in Oban and they have ordered my tyre size in for tomorrow, so I'll be the little old lady tootling up the A road doing 50mph and annoying the hell out of everyone else - can't be helped. Hopefully they'll spot the skinny wee tyre on the back of the car and take pity on me.

Blazing sunshine with a cold nippy wind. Unfortunately there is no washing to be done.

And the farmer told me that the brown bull which had been walking down past my house the other day had been attacked by the Angus bull and was escaping from it. During the attack the Limousin got a broken hip and had to be put down - so sad.

No lambs here yet but plenty of calves, including some very cute Highland 'coo' calves.

Hi all . Thanks GERS for starting us off . I hope you get some news soon . Good Luck with the " tootling " tomorrow , just do it with attitude and style . Sad about the Limousin I have fallen in love with them while watching " this farming life " . I love highland coos and the crofters on Skye in the programme have them so I get my fix then . Only three more episodes to go - I will miss it .
AOD I hope the beechams do the trick . I quite envy your snow at the moment , it's prettier than this neverending rain and gales . Can I acopt the snew word ? love it .
Lainey Hope the supplement is of some help to Bill - had a giggle at the reason for the diet - sorry had a bit of a Thelwell moment !
Tru I'm another who can't knit with black wool . Navy school caedies and jumpers were enough for my and that was decades ago when the eyes were better and the patience stronger . Good decision Camelot Hopefully life will be less stressful .
Wishing Judi a good break if I don't get back to do so tomorrow .
Hugs where needed . I hope we all have a calmer night and some decent sleep .
Nothing OS to report , the last two days have been cba mode and a lot of eating all the things I don't normally . Tomorrow back to normal !
    Take care everyone

AOD you can keep your snow, I don't want it here, thank you! It's bad enough that the field is flooded, so Jack had to have his walk along the Redways.

Am I the only one who has had no chocolate this weekend? :D
