Whats pcp
Whats pcp
It's a lease.
You pay a deposit and there will often be a contribution towards this, from the maker and possibly a dealer contribution as well, which means they aren't 'discounting' the actual car, (which maintains used values).
You then pay a fixed monthly figure for an agreed amout of time, with a 'guaranteed future value' of the car, at the end of this. You either pay this amount, keep the car, or just give it back and start again (although there will be penalties for covering any bumps n scrapes and a mileage excess too)
The alternative would be arrange own finance and maybe NOT get the incentive contributions.

you might get discount if buying on hp if paying cash doubtful if you'll get any discount
Either way make sure you get the free tank of fuel/free mats/free service etc or whatever you can haggle
Are you some sort of nut job?
You can get an easy £4K off a new Skoda VRS?

How does carfile work
I've no connection with Carfile other than I've used them to buy three new cars and it's always been an easy transaction. The first was in 1991 and my current vehicle was delivered this month.
Get a price from their website including any options that you require then phone them up with your requirements. They will confirm the price and will see if there is a vehicle in stock at the UK main dealer they pass your order to. If you have a px then they will get a price from their trade buyer which you can accept, or not. Finance can be arranged through the main dealer too.
Once you place the order Carfile put you in touch with the UK dealer and all money is paid to the UK dealer as if it was your local garage. You can collect the car yourself or, in many instances the car can be delivered to your home if preferred.
Have a browse on their website and read the testimonials at http://www.carfile.net/testimonials0 -

A PCP agreement is NOT a lease, it is a form of Hire Purchase.
You have the same rights with a PCP agreement as you would with a Hire Purchase agreement under the Consumer Credit Act.0 -

You dont have to push them at all. Theres £4K discounts on those new with 10 seconds searching on the internet.
Simply ask your dealer to price match or buy from the internet broker.
But telling people just to pay list price????? :eek:0 -
I would imagine there should be some deals to be had, they were some very cheap lease deals on VRS's past few weeks.0
