Hi everyone, I was just on the Popla website and I entered my Popla V Code and it said it was invalid. What do I need to do?

Put your POPLA verification code into the checker in this link, then come back and tell us what it says please.

You could try a complaint to the BPA that you were not given sufficient time to develop/submit your appeal. However without clear proof of dates you might find it difficult to argue. Mind, the PPC isn't showing any dates, so they may struggle too.

But don't forget whose side the BPA is on!

You wait to see what their next move is. Probably debt collectors who can be ignored. Be alert to any court papers, but you'd be the first for Flashpark.

Yes you could email the BPA and say that:

    Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing to you regarding a rejection letter I received from FlaskPark Limited.

Not only did they fail to respond to any of the points I made out but they did not date the letter of rejection. I was away in March on holiday and when I got back I found the posted letter. I recently tried to use the Popla verification code they sent me but was unsuccessful as apparently it has expired.

As the rejection letter has no date on it I have had no idea on the number of days I’ve had left to appeal. Not only do I think that it is completely unprofessional not to date letters, especially of this importance, I also feel that they have done this purposely so that the receiver is unaware of how much time is left.

I would like to appeal to Popla for many reasons but the main one being that their signage was strategically placed amongst plants and greenery which goes against your terms and conditions, Section 18.3 “Signs must be conspicuous and legible, and written in intelligible language, so that they are easy to see, read and understand.”

In conclusion, considering all the points which I have put forward above and all the trouble that this has caused me I feel that it would be appropriate that the fine is wavered. This is on the basis that the signage used does not adhere to your own terms and conditions, the unprofessionalism and the invalidity of the letter sent due to a lack of dating and the failure to allow me the mandatory 28-day time period in which I can make an appeal (Date of code generated: 10.03.16, Date of letter received: 17.10.16-25.10.16???).

I would appreciate your understanding in this matter.

    Kind regards,

    Kind regards,

I'd leave that bit out from your penultimate paragraph as the BPA will not get involved in the waiver (note spelling!) of a 'fine'. In fact that request gives them the 'out' to sidestep your complaint.

Do you have photos of the signage? That may add some weight to your complaint/request.

But I wouldn't hold your breath.
