Pipe stats for boiler stove

Please can I ask for advice.
I have a Hunter Herald 8 boiler stove that was fitted six years ago and I have recently been told that it should have two pipe thermostats to control the pump that works the downstairs radiators. I've looked at the Herald instructions and this seems to be correct but I want to make sure that I'm getting this right.
If I'm understanding it correctly, a pipe stat is fitted to the gravity flow pipe (the one which gets hot fast) and set at 90 degrees C and the other is fitted to the gravity return pipe (the one that takes longer to heat up) and set at 40 degrees C.
I'm sorry to appear dim but is it that the 90 degree stat switches the pump on and the 40 degree stat switches it off?

yes you are correct
although i wouldnt recommend setting your high stat to 90, turn it down a bit 75-80 (ours is on at 60)Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, and for once I'm inclined to believe Withnail is right. We are indeed drifting into the arena of the unwell.0
