UK mail, say parcel has been delivered, it has not.

Options
We have been waiting in all week for a parcel from an ebay seller.
I checked online and there was a link from the item to a UK mail delivery checker, showing it was out for delivery from their Middleton depot.

When I checked the parcel number on the UK mail system it said it was delivered on the 21st March, it was not, we were both in all afternoon.

The telephone number of the depot ring a finance company called Infinity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ask for 'proof of delivery' - were you expecting to sign for it?

Online tracking showing delivered is considered to be proof of delivery for eBay and PayPal purposes.

OP contact the seller immediately and explain there is an issue as it is them who will need to take this up with the courier.

Thanks, I contacted the seller straight away, they are away till the 30th!

This is not the first time with UK Mail, two years ago they delivered a TV to a house 1/2 mile away.

I did pay with my credit card through paypal this time, is that any help?

I tried ringing again and still got the finance company.

This is the Google result -

The finance company must be fed up with UK Mail as are lots of other people.

Then could you ask to see the signature, and provide a copy of yours to prove that you didn't sign for it?

This morning I received the parcel, looking worse for ware from the occupier of a house about a mile from me. Both of the addresses contain the word "Wood".

The first part of the post codes are the same, the second part of mine is 2AL and the other house 2QW, not similar at all.

Attached to the parcel was a bubble wrap package with three fluorescent tube starters in it! Some one will have lost those but UKMail will be reporting them as being delivered!

UKMail are not fit for purpose.

Good that you got it eventually. :T

Easy to blame the company when it was actually the drivers fault, I have had that trouble myself recently.

I do not know who the driver was, he may have been the one from UKMail who delivered a new TV of mine to the same house 3 or 4 years ago, so I must blame the company.

The parcel appeared to have been repacked and attached to it in bubble wrap were 3 fluorescent starters.

Some one is missing 3 starters!

Thank you all for your interest. If I use ebay again for buying any thing over a fiver I will make sure that I know who the delivery company is.
