Ironing? What's that?
In DS1's earliest student days he saw a toy iron (at nursery school) and thought it was a boat! :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Hi
One thing you need to accept is that your child is now an adult (a young adult but an adult all the same) and if they are intelligent enough to get in to uni then they are intelligent enough to manage. Once they get there they aren't really on their own because there will be loads of them in the same boat and when both of mine went there were loads of older students there to help. If your son asks for advice there will be loads of people happy to help. Your son will do daft things (get drunk, eat junk, sleep in, run out of washing when he hasn't got Mum to do it etc but he will learn and he will manage.
It will be upsetting when he goes (for both of you even though he won't admit it) but you'll talk on the phone, you'll visit and he'll come home (with lots of dirty washing:eek: ) which you'll both look forward to.
Don't forget that you can always come on here if you need a hug
