Did the Manufacturers report explain what had caused the problems?
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

this is a link to a tweet i put up last year with a pic attached https://twitter.com/Lost_lou/status/667702484098527232

Is that mattress suitable for an adjustable bed?

Can you post a link to that mattress on the Bensons website?

all the Manufacturers report said was that it was to be expected due to the type of fabric used and because its for an adjustable bad , the pics bensons took were done when the bed is flat, so it doesn't look as bad and uncomfortable as when its in a position that's comfortable,

    You sure that's the 1 ?

Maybe its me but I can't see where it says it's suitable for the bed it was bought for.

    really?:)
You didn't know? The FTO is not compulsory, the members, which are the larger retailers, pay a membership fee to join. The reason for joining is to give customers peace of mind, similar to ATOL etc. Customers are then led to believe they are "protected" if anything goes wrong.

When FTO rule in a customers favour they tend to agree with the decision but they don't like it, too many complaints go against them and the retailer can simply not bother renewing the membership.

You wont find many smaller independent stores who are members so no, the FTO is not some government backed consumer right you might think it is.

I think, depending on how expensive the bed and mattress was, you need to get an independent report, if the report finds a fault (or the mattress is unsuitable for the frame) send a letter before action to Bensons, then start a small claims case (can't remember the new name for small claims court).

I googled 'mattress independent report' and came up with several links. Hopefully some of them will be useful.
