    As you applied for a refund on the tickets this really isn't a flight delay issue. Your only hope is to try & negotiate with Brussels Airlines for the shortfall, but from what you posted it appears as though you've fallen victim to their stated refund penalty charges.

    Ironically had you kept the tickets & taken the flight you could possibly have claimed EU261/2004 compensation, depending on the reason for the delay.[/QUOTE

    I just don't understand their maths and penalties on how they came to decide to refund us £58.94 per person.
