ISA Transfer mix up

Hi,
I had an existing ISA with HSBC which I got it transferred to Yorkshire BS, this took about 25 days and YSB confirmed that the money has come in and I could see it online as well.
HSBC did not send me a confirmation of closure, but I stopped seeing my ISA online after the transfer request.
Then suddenly last month end, HSBC again reopens my ISA and sends me a statement....
In a nut shell I have two ISA accounts held in my name for the same tax year (thanks to HSBC)... I have informed HSBC of this mistake.... will this effect me in any manner.....??? HSBC has still not resolved the problem,
Will the tax man knock my door
-Cheers

Hi, I had a similar problem which took about 6 wks to resolve , I phoned Inland Revenue and explained what had happened and they were actually sympathetic and said that this kind of mistake happened all the time and not to worry about . It got sorted out in the end with no lasting consequences...#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Thanks mate, that's comforting !! I shall leave HSBC to sort it.
Hopefully Inland Revenue will understand the problem and not Tax me for this ;-))0
