Hopefully the OP got one of the Victoria appointments for today.
I've used them for an emergency same day passport before and we had to kill a few hours before going back to collect it but got it same day.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I have had the same issue. I was told to call Border Control in Washington 0012023443710 and a VERY helpful man there managed to reverse the cancelled ESTA as I do have an e-passport.0

The problem is that at the moment the OP is not entitled to travel under the Visa waiver program due to their ESTA being revoked. It is nothing to do with the length of their passport validity.0 -
Similar question asked and answered on TA this morning. If you've got a chip passport you can ring to get your cancelled Esta reversed.

I have just spoken to someone at CBP (Customs Border Protection) and apparently these emails and cancellations were a mistake and if you HAVE got a passport with a chip then the ESTA should be reinstated and you will be getting an email to that effect in the next few days - otherwise call 001 202 344 3710 - hopefully someone at CBP is getting a kick up the a***0

I am not sure whether they can identify those passports with and without a chip, they know all UK passports issued after October 2006 do have a chip but only some of those issued before then do...either they did not realise that some pre-Oct may have a chip or cannot identify those that do and those that don't so cancelled as precaution. If the latter it would have made sense to issue a phone number to reinstate if you confirmed you did have a chip..rules are changing 1st April and it will be chip passports only0

I also received this email yesterday regarding the ESTA but as i went to New York last February i didnt really give it a second thought. I have just now received a follow up email saying... "CBP have approved my ESTA again" and they're sorry for any inconvenience.
Maybe something up with their system, hope you get this sorted0
