Have youngest dd here for a few days and she was not amused when the shower would not work today. I managed to get an electrician to fix it and there was a loose connection in the power switch outside which had burnt out so all is now fixed and safe. Had a tv /aerial person round the other day who had to go in the loft and buy a new part etc so I could get the tv working. Yet another thing the previous owner did "his way!" and a constant mystery to any competent professional workman of any kind coming to the house. :eek:

I made a veg pasta dish for lunch and have three portions in the freezer for another time so am pleased about that.

Thinking of you and hoping you get news soon so you can prepare.

Older dd is picking me up in half an hour to go to slimming club (I put on two pounds last week) probably because I was not cooking properly.

DDs and SIL are taking us all to visit the in laws for a few days in Dorset or thereabouts. I am being picked up around nine tomorrow with firm instructions to have my bag packed and be ready to go. It is a real treat to have the phone, television and internet working at last.
