    Morning everyone,

Dull and cloudy, not a breath of wind so looks like will stay that way. It's becoming a standing joke in our house how the weather is never so good on my days off.

Need to go through the house today, hoovering and dusting, would have liked to start my spring cleaning before Easter but with one thing and another it hasn't happened so will at least write a list of what needs doing. Also want to start some decorating as parts of the cottage are staring to look a bit tired.
This afternoon will take Mum to BuryStEd to see her best friend who is in hospital at the moment, she has mobility problems anyway and now they suspect she has had several strokes :(

Gers - thinking of you, the waiting must be so difficult.
Candlelight - pleased to read that the docs appointment was positive and there will be further checks.
Have a good day everyone, take care folks x

    Morning all

    Bit murky down here.

Redruby, it was me that spoke about Ramsgate, we had a lovely long walk there, some interesting little shops under the arches in the harbour. Walked back along beach, was lovely.

Of to allotment this morning, then routine mammogram, haircut and and yoga tonight.

Must do meal plan to generate shopping list later.

Thinking of you Gers, waiting so hard for you and your family.

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) if you need one.

Another dull day, a bit like I am feeling.......did not do the freezer audit yesterday so need to do it before I take OH to the dentist. I will get a couple things from Lidl, will park there and OH can walk to the dentist.

Window cleaner is here, he will have to wait for his cash, I need to get the hk from the bank.
  • Good morning,

First time I've ever posted in O/S Daily. Considering making it a daily check in when I come to the forum in the morning. You all seem very pleasant and helpful and there’s a nice atmosphere to this thread.

Today consists of my standard office 8.30-5. I'll go swiftly home, have a healthy dinner and then I'm playing 7-a-side football for the first time in nearly 9 months now that my physio has given me the all clear. I was having problems with my left knee when running and after months of seeing different physios (costing £30 per half hour) trying to source why, we finally struck gold and the problem stems from my hip flexors!! So tonight is going to be a big test, quite scared if I’m honest.

But for now, it’s time that I start my list of phone calls I need to make. Determined to keep myself super busy in order to make the day fly in.

Hope everyone had a lovely day. Take care and I’ll try and pop back on my lunch.

    Morning all,

before i say anything, i just have to say i love your user name Spekysquarehead. :rotfl: Welcome to the thread.

Nothing to report my end. Grandson and his Mummy and Daddy are still on holiday and i am getting prepared for ours. Youngest will be travelling on his own to the job and staying without his Dad. I hope he will be ok.

A bit of unpleasantness for the girls at the Baby House over a woman who wanted to adopt one of the babies but wasnt found to be suitable by the social workers and she is angry with the girls for not wading in to defend her. She added me as a friend on Facebook and from what ive seen she is a bit unstable to say the least.

Just bits and peices to do in the house today but i'll be catching up on some programmes on 4oD that i missed.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

  • Judi - glad it brought a smile :)

That's the thing with Facebook, it can often kill opportunities without knowing. I heard that employers will search for peoples social media to get a better idea of the person than what's on their CV.

Gers - without knowing much of the detail, I can sense your paid. I hope you're ok.
  • Welcome SpekySquarehead, always nice to welcome a new face on board.

I have just sat down for the first time today. I don;t know where the time has gone! I won't be sitting for long, sadly, as two of the DGDs are due shortly and the middle one at about 6.00 after her ballet/tap lessons. The youngest is to take to Rainbows for 5.30 and to pick up again at 6.30. Wednesdays are all go and tea is eaten as and when each one arrives! It's all ready to pop in the oven shortly, with veg waiting in the pans.

I have felt really tired today after the last few days hard work setting up the 'van and everything has been tackled at half speed!

Have a nice evening folks if you can xx

  • TA I hope you can manage a rest over Easter, you deserve it. You sound a bit like Hester at the moment rushing here, there and everywhere,

    Sending you a hug and a tea/coffee

Welcome Speky, great user name :) eldest DD just popped in for a quick cup of coffee as she is off to her caravan tomorrow in Deal.Weather is very grey and overcast and not a spark of the gorgeous sun we had yesterday.

Gardener comes tomorrow and then I have a social 'do' at U3A in the afternoon free tea and biscuits :) and a good natter, right up my street
