    mobile broadband is not the same as wifi

    I didn't know that. I've got what they call a packet wifi which I got from the Philippines and it plugs into usb and picks up wifi or mobile signals. It's slow but worked okay. You can change anything like channels just like a router. Don't they sell them in the UK?

    The last time I checked, you couldn't tether on a giffgaff unlimited data plan.

    You can tether on the unlimited but you will only get 6GB of tethered data
