I am afraid not. The ten rule applies to everybody* who has an SPa date of 6/4/2016 or later, irrespective of the starting amount.
You don't automatically get the starting amount under these circumstances.
* Note that those who have overseas contributions can get the pension without meeting the MQP as can women who have had an MWRRE (paid the small stamp).0 -
The MQP affects typically around 20,000 people retiring each year - about half of those with short contribution records through being in the UK for a short time and not making contributions into a scheme elsewhere with reciprocal arrangements.
There used to be a similar MQP before 2010.0
